The USP contains the Special Confinement Unit for inmates serving Federal death sentences. USP Terre Haute is located on Highway 63, 2 miles south of the City of Terre Haute, which is 70 miles west of Indianapolis on Interstate 70.

Continue on 62 past the Clifty Falls State Park to the next light at State Road 7. Turn right at the light onto 7 South. Continue on 7 South approximately 1 mile. On your right will be the combined entrances of the Madison State Hospital, Indiana Veterans Cemetery and Madison Correctional Facility. Turn right into the drive and follow the signs to the Correctional Facility.
The facility, Marion County Jail, does not accept property and property cannot be dropped off for inmates.� Property may be released only if an inmate has filled out a property release form listing the authorized person picking up the property.� The person picking up the property must have a valid driver's license or state ID.� Property may be picked up at the Maion County Jail Monday�through Friday�from 7:00 AM until 10:30 AM.
